WEST POINT, GA - Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia, Inc. (KMMG) announced the completion of a $100 million expansion that has increased the annual production capacity of the plant from 300,000 vehicles annually to more than 360,000.

LAGRANGE, GA - LaGrange Police responded to a report of gunshots on Handley St. Wednesday, Dec. 28 around 11:00 am. 

Officers found that one victim had been shot in the leg. He was taken to the emergency room and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Police seek suspect in burglary, assault case

LAGRANGE, GA (WTVM) – Police in LaGrange are searching for a man accused of threatening an elderly, wheel-chair bound man in an attempted robbery. 

The incident happened Tuesday morning shortly before 8 a.m. at a home on Butler Street.

The victim told police an unknown man came into his home, threatened him with an ice pick or screw driver and tried to steal money from his pants.

When the victim began yelling, the suspect ran away.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 20s, 5'7” to 5'8” with a medium build.

The Christmas trees can be dropped off in the parking lots of Yellowjacket Boat Ramp in Georgia and Rocky Point Boat Ramp in Alabama.

The U.S. Department of Justice has approved the congressional and legislative maps passed into law this summer by the state of Georgia, the state’s elected leaders learned today. Under Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act, Georgia must receive approval from the federal government before any changes in election practices or procedures are implemented.
