Troup County foreclosures at lowest levels since 2008 | News

TROUP COUNTY, GA - The rate of foreclosures has fallen in Troup County. 2010 was the highest year for foreclosures in Troup County. That year saw 462 foreclosures, 76% higher than 2009. For 2011, foreclosures through July are down from both 2009 and 2010. With 153 so far in 2011, foreclosures this year dropped 49% from their high in 2009 and are trending 5% less than 2010.

At 12%, foreclosure transactions for 2011 are also down from 2010 as a percent of all transactions. Foreclosures were 14% of all transactions in 2010 and 9% in 2009. A map of current foreclosures can be found at http://troup.binarybus.com and clicking on the Foreclosure layer.
