LAGRANGE, GA - The new, improved and extended roadway known is in construction stage as the South Loop opens for traffic on December 19.

“After the road opens, it no longer will be the South Loop but will go by its official name of Pegasus Parkway and honoraria name, Chips Moman Highway,” said Troup County Engineer James Emery.

WEST POINT, GA - New Horizon Theater presents "Harvey," a comedy about a man and his invisible rabbit friend.

The show is great for the whole family and runs from Dec. 8 to Dec. 10. Tickets are $13 for adults and $10 for children, students and seniors 55 and over. Shows are at 8:00 pm EST with a 2:00 pm matinee on Saturday.

Homeless for a Night Fundraiser

WEST POINT, GA - The Chattahoochee Fuller Center Project is sponsoring Homeless for a Night, an event to raise money to help build a home for a local neighbor in need. 

They are asking adults and students to register for the event, which starts Friday, Dec. 2 at 8:00 pm and runs until Saturday at 7:00 am at the West Point Rec Football Field.

WEST POINT, GA - Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia, Inc. presented $5,000 to the city of Valley recently to sponsor the 2011 Christmas Merry Go Round, an event that has become annual tradition for more than 50 years in this area.

“KMMG has a deep appreciation for the traditions of this area that makes it such a special place to live,” said Randy Jackson, KMMG’s vice president of human resources and administration. “We want thank the city of Valley for continuing this tradition for the families of this Greater Valley Area.”

In support of the national “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” initiative, “Tie One On For Safety” encourages those on the road to drive safe, sober and buckled up throughout the holidays.
