LAGRANGE, GA - The world of competitive eating is coming to LaGrange tonight.

There will be a hot dog eating contest starting at 8:15 p.m. on the square. There will be only ten contestants, so if you want your chance to eat your way to victory, registration starts at 7 p.m. at the DLDA tent (located on the Matt Orr, boatwright side of the square).

There is a $10 entry fee.

Clean Water Fest at West Point Lake

TROUP COUNTY, GA - The Upper Chattahoochee River Keepers are sponsoring a Clean Water Fest at Yellow Jacket Beach on West Point Lake.

The party takes place on June 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

McGruff will be there and DJ Magic Mann from the Troup County Sheriff's Office will be on hand to provide the soundtrack!

WEST POINT, GA - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at West Point Lake will conduct a personal watercraft and boating safety course at the West Point Project Management Office on May 15 and 17 from 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m.

The course is held at the Project Management Office and will provide information on legal requirements, navigation rules, preventing personal watercraft and boating accidents, and new boating laws.

Congrats to the winners of the FOP Egg Hunt

CHAMBERS COUNTY - On Saturday, April 7, the Chambers County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #20 held its annual Easter-Egg Hunt at the Rocky Point Access on West Point Lake.

Over 2300 real eggs and 100 prize eggs were hidden. Approximately 150 children were present at the start of the hunt.
