Arrests made in metal theft

TROUP COUNTY, GA - Troup county announced today that arrests have been made in regards to the theft of metal at Lovett's Sales and Salvage. The owner reported on June 13th that about $5,000 worth of stainless steal had been stolen from his business in LaGrange.

Arson suspects arrested in Troup County

TROUP COUNTY, GA - Sheriff Donny Turner announces that the Troup County Sheriff’s Office has executed six search warrants while developing leads in the case of several Arsons in the Mountville Community, of rural Troup County. As a result, four arrests have been made.

Counterfeit bills swarm LaGrange

LAGRANGE, GA - Beginning March 2011 numerous businesses within the City of LaGrange have been receiving counterfeit money in various denominations to include $10, $20, and $100 dollar bills. These bills appear to be genuine.

Lanett man arrested for firearms and reckless conduct

WEST POINT, GA - On June 9, 2011, the West Point Police Department obtained warrants for the arrest of Lucious Jones of Lanett, Alabama, for the offense of Possession of a Firearm and Reckless Conduct. Mr. Jones was immediately located by the Alabama Probation Department and the Chambers County Sheriff’s Department and is being held without bond pending extradition to Georgia.
