Red Cross thanks Kia for $1.5 million donation | Community Spirit

WEST POINT, GA - On Wednesday, members of the American Red Cross visited Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia, Inc. (KMMG) to present awards in appreciation of KMMG’s $1.5 million donation to the Georgia branch of the American Red Cross and for the participation of KMMG team members in collecting items for those impacted by the tornadoes in April.
Charlie McGivern, the Georgia regional CEO for the American Red Cross, thanked KMMG for stepping up and supporting an organization that is there for so many people in their time of need.
“Thanks to organizations like KMMG, we are able to continue working on relief efforts in Georgia and all across the world,” said McGivern. “We are so happy that KMMG is here in Georgia and we wish all of the team members the best of luck.”
Randy Jackson, KMMG’s vice president of human resources and administration, expressed KMMG’s thanks for the work that the American Red Cross does.
“KMMG is proud to stand arm-in-arm with organizations like the American Red Cross who work tirelessly for the betterment of those who are impacted by hardships,” said Jackson. “We thank the American Red Cross for the chance to have a positive impact on the lives of thousands across this state.”
